Be Kind 330 Poetry Project-Expressions of Kindness
The Be Kind 330 Poetry Project-Expressions of Kindness is a book of poems written by Elementary, Middle, and High School scholars.
This project came about from seeing the Be Kind 330 Initiative at my daughter's school. I thought, "It would be nice for students to share their thoughts and feelings on kindness through poetry." I reached out to an APS employee and she was very excited to work with me to bring this opportunity to the students. Over a year later, and many phone calls, google meetings, and what seemed to be endless emails, the book is complete and it features wonderful, heartfelt poetry from Akron Public School scholars.

Why be kind?
Being kind to ourselves and others helps us feel better. Our physical and mental health improve, our relationships with others improve, and we have a better view of the world around us. Kindness also helps reduce negativity, decrease violence and bullying in schools and the workplace, increase self-confidence, and makes us more aware of the world around us.
